Garmisch-Partenkirchen is considered one of the most important therapeutic resort climates in the Bavarian Alps as well as being the number one winter sports metropolis in all of Germany. By the time of the Olympic Winter Games of 1936, internationally acclaimed sporting events had already found their place in the community’s seasonal calendar. Free Flight and international mountain-bike meets, mountain trekking and rock climbing – thrills and chills abound for the adrenalin hungry.
